B5.  NEW SAFE WELL PROJECT (Project Task! 2K01N)

This project will involve the digging of new wells and water storage systems. Initially we need over fifty or more wells. Each of the wells will be equipped with a pump and a water reservoir or storage tank.

The deep wells will be dug to serve the community.  We hope that the new safe water schemes will provide adequate drinking water supplies and also solve the problem of the cholera epidemics that blight villages such as Eshowe, Empangeni, Nkandana.  N’hopo estimates there are between 10 – 12 million people in South Africa are without clean water and between 15 – 20 million lack adequate sanitation.   

Donations of the sum of £300 - £450 can pay for the complete installation of a well.  This will serve a whole community with clean and safe drinking water.  A name plate of your choice or your company will be fitted to the well at the location.
