B7.  HELP THE ELDERLY.  (Project Task! 2K01Q) 

Try to imagine what it must be like to be old, alone and living in poverty, for the poor, elderly and disabled living in developing countries, this fear, often becomes a reality. The help the Elderly Scheme will provide a regular monthly income to such poor people in Ghana and South Africa who are alone, without any immediate income and without permanent residence. The scheme will try to ensure that the elderly and disabled are clothed and fed.

The 87 year old man in the picture is a spectacle of poverty and can aptly be equated with Lazarus of biblical fame. Remember the story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16: 19-21) in which the rich man denied Lazarus even the crumbs from his table, although he was feasting every day on sumptuous dishes.
